Faith Montessori offers elementary education for first grade through fifth grade at our Open Door location. This is a full day program which meets until 3:00 PM Monday through Thursday and until 1:00 PM on Friday.

The elementary program is based on the belief that children learn best through movement and work with their hands, and provides cognitive, social, and emotional support to help them reach their God given potential. We strive to keep our student to teacher ratio low so each child receives the individual instruction they need. We strive to keep a non competitive environment that fosters a love of learning and allows each child's natural curiosity to lead the way.

The teachers at Faith Montessori will follow the elementary education state standards for Math, Reading, and Science alongside the trusted Montessori materials. We use a variety of teaching methods, materials, and thematic units to keep learning fun and engaging.

​

 

At Faith Montessori, we believe in the importance of seeing God in our daily lives. We intentionally start each day with a devotional and prayer, while recognizing faith filled moments are sprinkled throughout our day and educational curriculum.

 

In order to grow, we understand the importance of focused learning time as well as downtime. The students have two recesses each day which not only provide the students with a well earned break, but also a time for unstructured imaginative play with peers. We will be outside as often as the weather permits.

Faith Montessori is committed to giving back to our community. Throughout the year, our Elementary classes will take part in community service projects. These opportunities teach community awareness, cultural awareness, environmental awareness and much more. Doing so teaches them that although they are young, they can and do make a contribution to their community.​
